In this episode, Senator Lesser explains that CT Senate Bill 3 reduces the effects of federal cuts, one being the Affordable Care Act premium subsidies. It ensures residents won’t lose health coverage and also helps hospitals in distress due to lack of funding. To do this, Governor Lamont approved a one-time funding of a temporary Affordable Health Insurance Trust to cover the tax credits taken away by Trump.
