Daniel Bishop for Rocky Hill Zoning Board of Appeals

About Daniel Bishop

As an attorney, Daniel Bishop knows that an equitable system of law and regulation is the key to any good community. Daniel works as an attorney representing people injured at work, ensuring they get back to work in the time it takes to heal properly, while ensuring that the worker and their family does not endure great hardship. He has been named a Rising Star in Connecticut for the past seven years and serves on the board of editors for the leading workers’ compensation publication in the state.

Community service is at the heart of his drive and purpose. He routinely serves as a mentor for first generation college students, serves on the Board of Directors for the AFMS Foundation (a local charity in CT), and coaches Little League.

Why are you running?

“I am running for this role because maintaining the character of our community in Rocky Hill starts with safeguarding against imprudent growth and protecting individual property rights at the same time. I want the people of our town to have faith in our zoning laws and feel that zoning decisions are made with fairness in mind, first and foremost. As part of Rocky Hill Democrats’ commitment to transparency, I want to promote public involvement in the type of community that we are all collectively building. “
