DESCRIPTION:Congressman Larson will discuss the following: \n\n\n\n\nHouse Republicans voted to advance a health care plan that does not extend the Affordable Care Act tax credits that more than 100\,000 Connecticut residents rely on. \n\n\n\nFour Republicans joined our effort to force a vote on a three-year extension of the credits\, but Speaker Johnson sent the House home for the holidays\, postponing that vote until January. Without action\, some families could see their costs double.  \n\n\n\nFamilies are getting squeezed by rising costs everywhere from energy costs to grocery bills. According to the Yale Budget Lab\, the average family will see $1\,700 in additional costs annually thanks to Trump’s tariffs. Prices of popular holiday gifts have soared compared to last year – increasing by an average of 26%. \n\n\n\nThe Congressman along with some other Democratic colleagues introduced a bill to end these costly tariffs now and lower costs.
