CT Congressman Larson fights to extend Health Care Tax Credits

From the desk of Congressman Larson:

Congress is back to work in Washington, and I am continuing to fight to lower skyrocketing health care costs and ensure everyone can access the care they need. Last week, 17 House Republicans joined Democrats to extend the Affordable Care Act tax credits 20 million Americans rely on. We had the votes to pass this bill at the end of the year, but Republicans shamefully decided to leave town early for the holidays, allowing these critical tax credits to expire.

It’s now up to the Senate to take action and send this bill to the President’s desk to grant families the relief they need. In the wealthiest nation in the world, no one should have to choose between health care and paying the rent.

CT Congressman John Larson hosts his first Telephone Town Hall of 2026!

    January 8 @ 6:00 pm 7:00 pm

The Congressman will host a telephone Town Hall to discuss skyrocketing health care costs, Trump’s military operation in Venezuela, and his priorities for 2026.

From the desk of Congressman Larson:

Before the holidays, four Republicans joined our effort to force a vote on a Democratic-led bill to extend the Affordable Care Act tax credits 20 million Americans rely on. They expired January 1st, and already, families across the country are seeing rising costs. This week, the House will vote to restore these credits and take action to lower costs.

In addition to the cost of health care, I know many of you are concerned by the Trump Administration’s actions in Venezuela, including the arrest and capture of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro this past weekend. I oppose this military action and demand accountability and transparency now before the U.S. becomes entangled in another forever war.    As the new year begins, I remain focused on protecting access to health care, lowering costs, and holding the Trump Administration accountable. I look forward to having you on the line to hear from you and discuss these important issues.
