CT Senator Richard Blumenthal appears on CT news station to discuss AI Robocall concerns

Between January and September 2025, across the country there was a 2.56 billion call increase from Artificial Intelligence (AI) Robocalls every month.
Senator Blumenthal explained that, while robocallers prey more on older Americans, everyone is a risk.
These illegal robocalls use imitation and voice cloning technology to make the caller’s voice sound trustworthy and often request the person to send them money.
Senator Blumenthal is taking action by submitting a proposal to strengthen the bipartisan 2019 TRACED Act to substantially increase penalties for illegal AI Robocalls.
